The Island Magic Difference
All of our charters are private party reservations. We don't fill our vessel to capacity with other guests. When you decide on a charter with Island Magic Charters, you get the entire vessel and its crew at your disposal.
All of our charters include Vessel, crew, fishing gear, tackle and at the very minimum, coffee and snacks.

 Day Fishing in Sooke
Day Fishing for salmon takes place on the southwestern side of Vancouver Island near the town of Sooke. From the government dock in Sooke, we depart around 6:00 am. and make way for where-ever the fish have been biting; Otter point Secretary Isle, Muir creek, Trap Shack or Sherringham point.
All rods, reels, bait and tackle are included. Fishing lasts for up to 8 hours. We then set sail for Sooke harbor where in the meantime you are at your leisure to soak in the sights. Upon returning to the dock, your guide will clean and prepare all of the fish for transport.
Custom smoking and vacuum packaging is available upon request.

Swiftsure 2 Day, 1 night Fishing
 Nothing beats the excitement of Salmon fishing on the Swiftsure Bank. This offshore seamount is teaming with all forms of wildlife. Thousands of wild Coho (Silvers) travel over this seamount as well as big game Chinook (King) and Halibut. At times, schools of herring can be seen everywhere. For 2 days and 1 night you will have the opportunity to fish for Coho, Spring, Sockeye salmon and or Halibut, if tides permit.
The trip begins by leaving Sooke harbor in the early morning where we set course up the coast to Port Renfrew and then we then head offshore for the evening bite. Anchorage takes place in Clo'ose' (cla-oose) bay, home to an abandoned native village.
Crab pots are usually set in a nearby anchorage. On the west coast Dungeness crab can be found by the dozen. Custom fish smoking and vacuum packaging is available upon request.
All meals are inclusive and are prepared onboard. The galley is always open throughout the day. You may bring onboard your own beer, wine or spirits.

 Coastal Cruising
Discover the Gulf islands, take a cruise to Saltspring Island. For 2 days and 1 night, you will wander past dozens of cottage islands that dot the coast of vancouver island. We depart from Victoria harbor for Saltspring Island in the morning.
We arrive in Ganges harbor that afternoon where guests are welcome to go ashore and browse through the many shops. Saltspring Island is home to many artisans, their works can be seen in the galleries of downtown Ganges.
Guests have the option to dine onboard that evening or dine out at one of the many restaurants in Ganges. Guests will stay onboard that night. The last day is spent cruising past a different set of islands back to Sidney Harbor.
2 days, 1 night, all inclusive meals and accommodation. You may bring onboard your own beer, wine or spirits.

 Nothing says west coast more than the mountains and waterways of Tofino and Ucluelet. These rugged little villages are host to some of the best hiking, surfing, beaches, wildlife and eco tourism that Vancouver Island has to offer.
For 4 days and 2 nights, we will take you fishing for Salmon, Halibut and rockfish in the famous Barkley Sound amongst the broken Islands

Sport Fishing Licenses
It is law that everyone who wishes to fish must have a tidal waters sport fishing license. To make things much easier, we've taken the necessary steps to become an authorized British Columbia Sport Fishing License Distributor. We can provide you with licenses the day you arrive onboard. A list of license options and costs are posted below. These are 100% provincially governed costs.
If you wish to keep any of your fish, you will require a salmon conservation stamp to retain fish. One stamp for period of license is all that is needed.

A 50% refundable deposit is required to book. Any cancellation that results in a refund MUST be made 30 days prior to booking date. Any Visa or Mastercard transaction that is refunded will result in a $20.00 service fee.We accept cash, check, visa, or mastercard.
